Cars and Bikes
I always had great memories of old American muscle cars and motorcycles. As a kid - I grew in a time when you would spend hours building plastic models of all your favorite cars. The Corvettes, the '57 Chevy, Dragsters, or just anything with a lot of chrome, a huge loud engine, black paint with flames and really wide tires.... I can still remember that 'smell'. The smell of a muscle car is unique....a combination of gasoline, oil, paint, burnt rubber, and perhaps leather or vinyl seats. You can still find that smell at classic car shows - if you want to remember it. Anyway hot rods and classic muscle cars have always been a part of my life and I have always had a love of the design and craftsmanship that goes into customizing or restoring them. Motorcycles are same way...my dad had a Harley Davidson growing up - so I always knew what bikes were about. As I grew older I had a greater appreciation for custom bikes and choppers. Thanks to Paul Sr. A=and Paul Jr. @ OCC, Indian Larry, Billy Lane and of course Jesse James. So many talented builders out there.... This is my tribute to the people that put the Blood,Sweat and Gears together for the world to SEE, HEAR and even SMELL. All images © Jason Hess Photography
